Dr. Donald Anderson
Dr. Don Anderson was raised in a small-town community in northern Illinois though his roots are definitely northern, Wisconsin. His father was from Iron River, Wisconsin and his mother was born and raised in Duluth.
Dr. Anderson attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in the pre-med program while playing both basketball and football at the Big Ten level. He led the football team in receptions as a wide receiver his senior year and signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints upon graduation.
After football, Dr. Anderson attended Northwestern University Dental School where he served as class president and was regarded as one of the top crown and bridge students in the class. After four years of dental studies, he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Anderson then opened a private practice in the northern suburbs of Chicago concentrating primarily on cosmetic and reconstructive crown and bridge dentistry. During these years, he found great pleasure participating in a medical mission to the Amazon with the Peruvian American Medical Society and a mission to Tanzania in 2005.
In 2012, Dr. Anderson decided to return to his "roots" and moved to northern Wisconsin to continue his practice of dentistry.
He is married to wife, Ellie, who has dual degrees in nursing and dental hygiene. Together they enjoy hunting, fishing, kayaking, biking and traveling. Their traveling adventures have taken them down the River Nile to the Valley of the Gods, hunting with Wahadzabe tribesmen in Africa, fishing for piranha on the Amazon, experiencing the island of Zanzibar, touring through Costa Rica, and numerous African safaris.
Dr. Anderson is so happy and proud to serve the "Up North" communities that he loves so much!
