Prosthodontists complete three additional rigorous years of training after dental school in the esthetic replacement of teeth through veneers and crowns, implants and removable dentures. Prosthodontist use science as well as artistry to reconstruct seemingly hopeless dentitions into those of beauty and function.
Complex Care Management
Prosthodontists are trained to manage the most complex dental restorations. From patients requiring rehabilitation after a traumatic injury to creating new smiles for those born with genetic facial defects, Prosthodontists have the special skills needed to restore smiles to the best they can be.
There are approximately 3200 Prosthodontists currently in the US, half of which practice at large academic institutions.
